4 Tips To Travel In Style

Traveling on an airplane isn't most people's idea of a good time. The seats are small, it's hard to get comfortable, and by the time you land, you might be feeling less than fresh. Here are four tips to help you get through your flight in style.

1. Stay hydrated.

If you feel like your skin gets dried out on flights, that's probably because the air in the passenger cabin is recycled. Some people find relief by bringing moisturizing sheet masks in their carry-on. Apply it halfway through the flight when you need a pick-me-up, and don't forget to bring lotion for your hands.

Remember that proper hydration is more than just skin deep. Carry a water bottle to allow you to drink water throughout the flight. While you won't be able to take a full water bottle past security, you can bring an empty one and fill it once you're past the gates.

2. Keep a toothbrush with you.

If you manage to fall asleep during your flight, your mouth may feel less than fresh by the time you wake up. Fortunately, you can remedy this with a toothbrush and a little toothpaste.

You can't bring a full-size tube of toothpaste on board, but you can keep a trial size with you. Brush your teeth mid-flight and right before you land to ensure you have fresh breath when you arrive.

3. Wear something comfortable but classy.

When you look good, you feel more confident. While airlines have no dress code, unless you're flying first class, it's still worth the effort to dress up a little.

Pick an outfit that's both comfortable and attractive. A maxi dress made from a high-quality fabric is a great option for women.

Men should look for pants with a relaxed fit. If you must wear jeans, opt for something in black or another dark wash, since these colors tend to look more sophisticated than blue jeans.

4. Splurge on a stylish carry on bag.

If you avoid checking luggage, you can get out of the airport much faster after you land. When considering your outfit, don't forget that your bag is part of the ensemble. Standard black canvas duffel bags are serviceable, but they don't make a fashion statement.

Upgrade your carry-on by purchasing a bison leather duffel from a company such as Elie Handbags. Leather is a durable material with a rustic, classic look, and its natural tan color is neutral enough to match with any outfit.
